Description
One subject that is seldom discussed in churches these days is the reality of Hell. However, the Bible tells us that Jesus Christ suffered agony and died for our sins in order to keep us from a literal, eternal furnace of fire called Hell (Mark 9:43-49, Luke 16:23), and its corresponding Lake of Fire (Revelation 9:2, 20:14-15). But is there really such a place? Can we find physical evidence that it exists and is alive and active to this very day? Most church pastors do not want to upset their congregations by talking about such horrible things. However, the Bible says that it exists and is the most horrendous, miserable place of unyielding torture for the condemned. And it is located in the center of our earth (Amos 9:2, Proverbs 15:24, Ephesians 4:9-9)!
We all get bad dreams and pain from time to time. And the only good thing about it is that we know that it will eventually come to an end, even if our only relief comes through death. Yet Hell, the Bible says, never ends! Moreover, it is worst than your most frightening nightmare! Nevertheless, the majority of churches would rather discuss the love of God and all the good things that He can do for us. However, the author believes that this leads to a frightening false sense of security. For God, the Creator, is not a big Santa Claus in the sky. He can, and does, do great things for those who love Him (Matthew 7:7-11, John 14:1-4)! And God is the very essence of love (1 John 4:8,16). Otherwise He wouldn’t have allowed His own Son to suffer so much for us (John 3:16-17). However, the Bible also says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline” (Proverbs 1:7 NIV. Also, see Psalm 111:10, Proverbs 9:10). So focusing primarily on the love of God becomes a sugar coated gospel that is so out of balance with the true Word of God that it leaves Christians vulnerable and in a state of spiritual malnutrition!
However, with all the new technological discoveries made during the twentieth century, scientists now know that the center of the earth really does contain liquid fire and brimstone (sulfur). And Christ warned us that if we expect to get to Heaven, we must enter “...through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (Matthew 7:13-14 NIV). Moreover, those who are depending on their own good works (Ephesians 2:8-9) and a place called “Purgatory” should know that there is no mention of such a place in the Bible! In fact, to put it bluntly, without Christ there is no hope of escaping the fires of Hell (John 14:6, Acts 4:10-12, 1 Timothy 2:5-6). This book has only two chapters. Chapter One is “The Reality of Hell.” It contains reliable scientific proof that such a place really does exist!
Chapter Two is “The Bible Versus Uniformitarianism.” This is a subject familiar to scientists but not well known to the general public. Christians are familiar with doctrines disputing the subject of evolution. In fact, this chapter delves briefly on the subject. Yet uniformitarianism is to geology what evolution is to biology. The two doctrines work together and are used by scientists to judge the age of the earth as well as fossils and mammals. And, like evolution, uniformitarianism is largely accepted as a fact. However, it is a well respected false doctrine. This chapter explains why. Moreover, it has been found, almost universally in primitive pagan cultures and is taught in colleges as an accepted truth. This chapter explains the foundation of this teaching. Among the evidence is information scientists have discovered from Hawaiian volcanoes, as well as the Magellan space probe and its study of the planet Venus. The chapter ends with the reported disputes among young geologists as to the validity of uniformitarianism.
